The Armstrong River Hawks put together a strong, consistent performance Monday night at Palmer Imaging Arena, earning a 7–1 win over Norwin. The River Hawks set the tempo early and maintained control throughout the game, applying steady pressure and generating sustained offensive-zone time. Norwin worked to settle in but faced challenges matching Armstrong’s pace in the opening stages.
Armstrong struck quickly in the first period, as Jake Graff scored just 21 seconds into the game to open the scoring. Graff added a second goal midway through the period and completed a natural hat trick with a shorthanded tally at 16:39, giving the River Hawks a 3–0 lead after one. Armstrong also held an 11–6 edge in shots during the opening frame, reflecting its early push.
The momentum carried into the second period, where Armstrong continued to build its lead with three even-strength goals. Evan Heilman found the net twice, both set up by Josh Rullo, while Jason Rullo added another late in the period to make it 6–0 heading into the third. Norwin continued to compete defensively but spent much of the period responding to extended pressure.

Norwin broke through early in the third period when Parker Toth scored at 3:16, with Zack Katona picking up the assist. Armstrong answered shortly after, as Jason Rullo recorded his second goal of the game to restore the six-goal margin. Armstrong finished with a 29–16 advantage in shots, while both teams were held scoreless on the power play.

Kohlt Eshbaugh led the way in net for Armstrong, stopping 15 of 16 shots before Mason Gordon closed out the final minutes. While the final score reflected Armstrong’s efficiency and depth, Norwin continued to compete through all three periods in a game that showcased the River Hawks’ preparation and execution.
