FINAL: Allegheny Badgers 4, Southeast Beasts 0

MLK Classic Tournament • January 17, 2026 • Belmont Ice Complex

The Allegheny Badgers turned in a complete, wire-to-wire effort on Saturday night, blanking the Southeast Beasts in MLK Classic tournament play under a modified format of two 22-minute halves. From center ice to the crease, the Badgers dictated the pace of play, using speed, physicality, and discipline to control the game in all three zones.

Leading the way was the Badgers’ top line of Brody Boban, Andrew Bryant, and Roman Angelo, which proved to be a difference-maker throughout the night. Bryant opened the scoring to set the tone early, while Boban and Angelo followed with goals of their own as the trio consistently generated offensive pressure. Parker Mirobelli also found himself a goal late in the game to put the exclamation mark on this contest. Head Coach Justin Brown praised the unit’s impact after the game, saying, “Brody Boban, Andrew Bryant and Roman Angelo were very good as a line tonight. Bryant got us started with the scoring and his linemates followed suit.”

Allegheny’s dominance extended beyond the score sheet. The Badgers were relentless in puck battles, played with confidence through the neutral zone, and limited the Beasts to few high-quality scoring chances. That defensive commitment allowed the Badgers’ goaltender to finish the night with a shutout, capping off a strong team performance built on structure and effort.

Despite the final score, the Southeast Beasts showed resilience and determination, competing hard until the final whistle. Playing with heart and passion throughout, the Beasts continued to battle against a fast and physical Badgers lineup that proved difficult to contain.

In a tournament environment that tested depth and execution, the Badgers delivered a statement win — combining timely scoring, defensive discipline, and strong goaltending to secure a convincing shutout victory in the MLK Classic.
