The Westmoreland Eagles 18U1 leaned on elite finishing and a standout performance in net to secure a 6–4 win over the Erie Junior Otters 18U1 in Pennsylvania Amateur Hockey League action. Despite being outshot 57–21, Westmoreland capitalized on its chances and received a sensational effort from goaltender Connor Lovinfosse, who turned aside 53 shots in the victory.

Special teams dictated much of the opening period. Erie struck first on the power play at 8:10 of the first, as Marco Vavala finished a feed from Dylan Payne. Westmoreland responded with back-to-back power-play goals from Samuel Treager, who scored at 5:27 and 4:08 to give the Eagles a 2–1 lead.
