Boban Records Hat Trick as Norwin Cruises Past Wheeling Park at Home
Norwin delivered a complete performance Monday night at Palmer Imaging Arena, rolling past Wheeling Park 6–1 behind a dominant opening period and a strong showing in goal.
The Knights wasted little time asserting control, scoring four times in the first period to seize the momentum early. Brody Boban sparked the offensive surge with a hat trick in the opening frame, striking twice on the power play and once at even strength. Boban opened the scoring at 5:43, added his second just over four minutes later, and completed the hat trick with a power-play goal late in the period to give Norwin a 4–0 lead after one.
Norwin continued to press in the second period, extending the advantage to five when Jonah Andrykovitch converted on the power play. Wheeling Park answered shortly after, but the Knights stayed composed and controlled play through the middle frame.
The final goal came early in the third period as Josh Toth finished an even-strength chance to make it 6–1, sealing the home victory. Toth ended the night with two goals, while Norwin’s special teams were perfect, going 3-for-3 on the power play.
In net, Connor Lovinfosse turned in a strong performance, stopping 24 of 25 shots. Lovinfosse was particularly steady during Wheeling Park’s second-period push, making key saves to keep the Knights comfortably in front.

Norwin outshot Wheeling Park 31–25 and limited mistakes defensively, taking just one minor penalty on the night.
Powered by an explosive first period, a hat trick from Boban, and a reliable effort in goal, Norwin protected home ice with an impressive team win.
